Twitter has claimed that only 5% of its users are bots – it seems that is a lie.
Bot Sentinel is now estimating that between 10-15% are bots.

The number increases depending on the topic. For example, you will see significantly more inauthentic accounts tweeting about politics and crypto than cute pets or origami. So maybe the 5% number is based on cat Twitter, but it's not representative of the entire platform.

This is a big deal because Elon Musk put his Twitter deal on hold to investigate the number of bots on the platform.
