Washington Post: Trump succeeded where Obama failed

Even the liberal leaning Washington Post couldn’t bash Trump for his recent success that saw Egyptian-American charity worker Aya Hijazi and her husband Mohamed Hassanein freed and sent back to the United States.

Here is an excerpt from the Post:

“The Obama administration unsuccessfully pressed Sissi’s government for their release. It was not until Trump moved to reset U.S. relations with Egypt by embracing Sissi at the White House on April 3 — he publicly hailed the autocrat’s leadership as “fantastic” and offered the U.S. government’s “strong backing” — that Egypt’s posture changed. Last Sunday, a court in Cairo dropped all charges against Hijazi and the others.”

Hijazi and her husband were arrested 3 years ago on May 1st, 2014. They were arrested by the Egyptian government on charges of child abuse and trafficking. Now, these charges have been denounced by human right groups and U.S Officials to be false.

The reason they were in Egypt was for charitable reasons.

Here’s more from the Post on what they did:

Hijazi, who grew up in Falls Church, Va., and graduated from George Mason University, was working in Cairo with the Belady Foundation, which she and her husband established as a haven and rehabilitation center for street children in Cairo.

This is just another win for Trump in what is becoming an amazing display of Foreign Policy. He was able to not only negotiate the release of Hijazi and her husband but also reopen discussions with Egypt that may help deter further “civil right” violations.

Trump continues to embarrass Obama in the foreign policy department. Under Obama’s administration, we saw Radical Islam spread, Iran achieve Nuclear Power and America release 5 Terrorist’s for a military deserter. Since Trump has taken office we have seen China back us in our fight against North Korea, ISIS systematically being destroyed in Syria and Iraq and of course the release of Aya Hijaz and her husband.

During a time of such turmoil worldwide we should all be thanking God that America has such a strong leader in office.
