According to a report from CBS President Trump has been seen meeting with three anti-gun lawmakers.

The Trump administration is expected to announce its proposal to curb gun violence as soon as next week. But after the Democrats’ fiery debate on gun control, what President Trump will support is far from clear.
The White House has been talking to a trio of lawmakers: Democrats Chris Murphy and Joe Manchin and Republican Pat Toomey. They all support tougher background checks.
After the recent mass shootings in Dayton, Ohio and El Paso, Texas, Mr. Trump called for gun control legislation.
“I’m talking about meaningful, write that word, meaningful, meaningful background checks,” Mr. Trump said on August 9.
One weakness from this report is that they only mention these three. I have no clue if he met with more than these three lawmakers(I’m like 99% certain he did) but these are the three CBS put in the report.
This report shows us that this whatever move is going to come on guns likely has to do with background checks. All three of these lawmakers are weak on the issue of background checks and background checks seem to be the only place Trump is willing to move on guns.
I hope President Trump sticks to his gut and realizes the left wants to take our rights piece by piece and we should never give an inch on guns. Gun Laws don’t save lives because Guns aren’t the problem.
