Russian Lawyer Memo offered to Trump Jr. was written by Fusion GPS

As if the Russia-Trump collusion narrative couldn’t fall apart anymore, a new report out of Reuters stated that the Memo offered to Donald Trump Jr. at the now infamous Trump Tower meeting was written by the same firm that wrote the Trump-Russia dossier.

The same political research firm that prepared a dossier on Trump campaign ties to Russia had unrelated information on Clinton Foundation donors that a Russian lawyer obtained and offered to President Donald Trump’s eldest son last year, three sources familiar with the matter said.

The White House and Republican lawmakers have attacked the firm, Fusion GPS, over the dossier compiled by a former British spy that is central to investigations in Congress and by a special counsel into conclusions by U.S. spy agencies that Moscow interfered in the 2016 presidential election and wanted to help Trump win.

The sources told Reuters that the negative information that Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya wanted to give to Republican Trump’s campaign at a June 2016 meeting in New York had been dug up by Fusion GPS in an unrelated investigation.

If you don’t see the big deal yet let me explain it. The entire narrative surrounding this meeting is that this was information given by Putin. This new evidence shows that it was given by Fusion GPS. Now, as we have reported in the past just because it came through Fusion GPS doesn’t mean it wasn’t Russian propaganda.

With that being said it does take away the left’s ability to claim Trump colluded with Russia. The Hillary Clinton campaign not only did the same thing but actually paid for it. While the Fusion GPS memo was offered to the Trump campaign, the information Hillary’s campaign got was actually requested and paid for by them.
