A segment on NBC’s nightly news stated that protecting our church with an armed security force was a “controversial topic”.

The worst part of this is that NBC isn’t entirely wrong. For some weird reason defending yourself against someone who is trying to take your life is controversial.
However, I think NBC clearly should have phrased this in a different way. What really is controversial is the fact that people are mad that they defended themselves.
