Emails confirm Palmieri Report analysis that Comey colluded with CNN to allow reporting of Dossier

On April 21st I did an analysis of a report that talked about Comey telling Donald Trump CNN was trying to get a hook to report on the Pee Tape Dossier.

Here was an excerpt from our analysis:

Alright, so this is extremely odd. How in the world did James Comey know that CNN wanted to cover this Dossier? How did he know that they were looking for a hook to cover this Dossier? I’ll explain to you how. Using common sense we can come to the conclusion that the media was hammering him with questions on it. The media was hammering the FBI and the intelligence agencies with questions on it. This is the only way Comey would know these outlets had the dossier and that they would want to cover it. We can now move to the hook idea. Obviously, anti-Trump media was foaming at the mouth to cover this dossier. Comey admits this. Comey also admits that they need a hook to cover the story. This is where I become skeptical. Isn’t it weird that they end up getting that very hook after Comey met with Trump? I have no sourcing on this but it seems pretty clear to me what happened. Comey made sure to give the Mainstream Media a hook into this story because he wanted to take down Trump. Remeber Comey couldn’t verify the Dossier even though he tried.

If this isn’t clear enough I was pointing to Comey using the meeting as the very hook the media could use to report on the Dossier. Claiming that the intelligence community met with Trump over the Dossier allowed them to report on the Dossier without having to go out on a limb.

Well, new emails from Andrew McCabe confirm this:

Perhaps tellingly, McCabe noted in his January 8, 2017 email that the “trigger” for CNN’s forthcoming dossier story of which he had insider knowledge was the official separate classified briefings to Obama and Trump on the unsubstantiated claims.

“CNN is close to going forward with the sensitive story,” McCabe wrote in the email to senior FBI leadership. “The trigger for them is they know the material was discussed in the brief and presented in an attachment.” The subject line for that email was “Flood is Coming.”
