Everyone needs to remember the standard that Facebook applied here.
The first standard is the blocking of a foreign ad into a foreign market. If Facebook doesn’t want foreign interference in elections then they must apply this with everything. If an Ad is put into a market that is not the country they reside in Facebook claims it must be banned.
The second is that if the government doesn’t have a regulation against foreign ads then they ban them. Facebook can’t now choose to allow some ads because obviously, that would showcase a political bias.
Ireland voted to legalize abortion in 2018 with 66% voting in favor of it.
