The White House is worried to let Elon Musk meet President Joe Biden.
They are nervous he will embarrass him.
The White House reportedly has worries about potentially letting Tesla CEO Elon Musk on the grounds to meet with President Biden.
In fact, the Biden administration is worried that Musk would “be a bad guest” and would “say something to embarrass the administration” while on the premises, a NY Post article reported this week.
Musk shouldn’t be expecting an invite to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. anytime soon, as the report notes that “Biden and his close advisers are said to be irritated with Musk’s public criticism and have no immediate plans to invite him to the White House for future events”.
Musk responded to the report by telling CNBC: “They have nothing to worry about. I would do the right thing.”
“I have nothing against Biden otherwise, apart from general concern about more deficit spending, which would apply to any president, and actively supported the Obama-Biden election,” he continued.
Musk has also been snubbed by the White House due to his lack of support for workers’ unions, the report says.
