Jim Acosta took to Twitter to try and attack President Trump over his Border Wall.

I found some steel slats down on the border. But I don’t see anything resembling a national emergency situation.. at least not in the McAllen TX area of the border where Trump will be today. pic.twitter.com/KRoLdszLUu

He even interviewed someone who lived there
Nadine has lived in the McAllen area about a decade. She says it’s safe here and hasn’t seen people coming across the border causing crime and mayhem. pic.twitter.com/EIaFAYhHgR

Jim Acosta must be blind to what is directly in front of him because the reason this area is pretty quiet is likely due to the Border Security that is already in place.
Conservatives mocked him for this:
It’s almost as though having steel slats might help prevent illegal immigration where you’re filming, dolt. https://t.co/OIpdcvgv5T

So you went down to the border and found that there is no national emergency situation where steel slats have been erected? Good own. https://t.co/hykUVEYsfb

However, there is still a need to continue the construction of Walls due to them entering through the unprotected areas.
McAllen, this agricultural border town in South Texas has always been a big entry point from Mexico & Central America. What’s way different is increase in entire families crossing Rio Grande river border illegally-27,518 family members arrested here in December, up 240% from 2017

Here in McAllen, wall is being built regardless of what happens in DC-
$1.4 Billion is already funded by Congress. Next month, 25 miles of construction will start on concrete wall to be built on top of an existing flood-control levee thru wildlife refuges & a butterfly sanctuary.— Geraldo Rivera (@GeraldoRivera) January 10, 2019
