
A new Poll found that the Minnesota Attorney General Race between DNC Co-Chair Keith Ellison and GOP’S Doug Wardlow is going to be closer than initially expected.
In the hi-visibility contest for Attorney General of Minnesota, DFL candidate Keith Ellison and Republican Doug Wardlow are tied, 41% each. Ellison has been in the news for the wrong reasons, most specifically having to do with domestic violence allegations made by his former girlfriend. Among those who say the charges against Ellison are a factor in how they are voting, Wardlow leads by 35 points. Among those who say that claims by Ellison’s former girlfriend are nota factor in how they are voting, Ellison leads by 17 points. Wardlow leads by 23 points among the oldest voters; Ellison leads by 26 points among the youngest voters. Middle-aged voters split. Ellison’s advantage in the greater Twin Cities is single digits; he trails elsewhere. In rural MN, Wardlow leads by 21 points. In urban MN, Ellison leads by 45 points.Â
43% of Independents plan on voting for Wardlow.
