Rebekah Mercer officially dumped Steve Bannon in a public statement yesterday,
“I support President Trump and the platform upon which he was elected,” Mercer said. “My family and I have not communicated with Steve Bannon in many months and have provided no financial support to his political agenda, nor do we support his recent actions and statements.”
Considering the Mercer’s were Bannon’s main ally this is certainly a huge blow. Just a few year ago Bannon brought the Mercer’s to Breitbart and had them donate $10 Million Dollars to it. It seems as if the Mercer’s will continue to be a part of Breitbart but will not be an ally of Bannon as he looks to continue his political career.
