We can all breathe a sigh of relief after Trump declared in an interview with the New York Post that the United States is not going into Syria.
Here is some quotes from the interview:
“Our policy is the same, it hasn’t changed. We’re not going into Syria.”
“Our big mission is getting rid of ISIS,” he said. “That’s where it’s always been. But when you see kids choking to death, you watch their lungs burning out, we had to hit him and hit him hard.”
Now although I disagree with Trump decision to bomb Syria (due to the fact we really have no clue who is behind the attacks) we at least can now see the light at the end of the tunnel. His strike was a clear message to the world to not mess with the United States and that I can live with.
It is great to know that Trump is sticking by his campaign promise. There has been mass confusion over the past 10 days over how Trump would respond and he cleared that up with these statements.
Trump’s main enemy is still ISIS and it must stay that way.
