The funny thing is that this just happened to be the journalist who sourced Obama holdovers as a way to bash President Trump’s decision to bomb Iran.

These tweets from years ago don’t count as evidence. Obama going into re-election and President Trump going into re-election are two separate things. Obama needed a distraction. At the time Obama’s economy was going through the worst economic recovery since the depression and was becoming increasingly unpopular. This is the complete opposite of President Trump’s situation. President Trump’s approval is nearly the same since when he first took office. The economy is booming and if anything he would want the news to be discussing that. We also know the fact that war could hurt the economy. This idea that a war with Iran is electorally smart is just not true.
