NBC pushes Pro-Chinese propaganda over Coronavirus

NBC News published an OP-ED by a professor of music at Grinnell College claiming that China was doing a better job than the US at handling the Coronavirus.

NBC NEWS:

I’ve now lived through a coronavirus quarantine in the two countries, and the differences are stark well beyond their airports. In China, the obligation to isolate felt shared and the public changed their habits almost immediately. Sterilization, cleanliness and social distancing were prioritized by everyone at all times. Rightly or wrongly, the Chinese state’s heavy-handed approach seemed to work.

In contrast, individual liberty is the engine that drives American exceptionalism. There are certainly valid questions about how much of it to sacrifice in the name of the public good, but our laissez-faire attitude, prioritization of personal freedom and utter lack of government leadership have left Americans confused and exposed.

This is just complete nonsense. This professor just leaves out the fact that the virus orginated in China. Isn’t that the entire point of this? It is the fault of the Chinese that the world is dealing with this virus.

This story actually has broader overtones than just this virus. Notice what this professor is questioning. He isn’t just saying we need better checks at our airports. He is saying the real problem is our focus on individual liberty.

We also have the fact that China can’t be trusted. They lied the world into this virus and they will lie again to make themselves look better.
