There are a few things wrong with Fred Ryan’s statement. The first is that Trump’s statement is somehow a betrayal of American values. Many countries have horrible a history with how they treat journalist. However, America still does business with these countries. Where was The Washington Post when Obama sent billions to Iran. Iran is just as bad in its treatment of the free press. We also can look at 9/11. 15 of the 19 hijackers had major ties to Saudi Arabia. The U.S did not cut ties with the country over that.
The Second major flaw is their portrayal of Jamal Khashoggi. Was what happened to Jamal Khashoggi horrific? Of course. Was Jamal Khashoggi just some innocent journalist? No. Jamal Khashoggi was a major supporter of the Terror group The Muslim Brotherhood. This group is responsible for the radicalization of Osama Bin-Laden.
Don’t let The Washington Post fool you these people care little about anything but there political goals. They are a member of the resistance movement and should be not as an objective media outlet but as left wing propaganda.
