A group of children has announced they are walking out of school because adults are doing nothing to fix Climate Change.
THE BULLETIN:
We, the youth of America, are fed up with decades of inaction on climate change. On Friday, March 15, young people like us across the United States will strike from school. We strike to bring attention to the millions of our generation who will most suffer the consequences of increased global temperatures, rising seas, and extreme weather. But this isn’t a message only to America. It’s a message from the world, to the world, as students in dozens of countries on every continent will be striking together for the first time.
For decades, the fossil fuel industry has pumped greenhouse gas emissions into our atmosphere. Thirty years ago, climate scientist James Hansen warned Congress about climate change. Now, according to the most recent Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change report on global temperature rise, we have only 11 years to prevent even worse effects of climate change. And that is why we strike.
The Authors of this article are 16, 16, in 7th grade and 13 years old. Yes, you read that correctly we are allowing people who aren’t even allowed to drive a car yet to impact major policy decisions. The entire article is a compilation of left-wing talking points regarding climate change most of which are false.
They claim that the Green New Deal didn’t want to get rid of cows and air travel but AOC’s own website showcased that as a plan. They claimed that Trump leaving the Paris Climate Agreement is a sign that he is a ‘climate denier’. I wonder why they didn’t mention the fact that CO2 emissions actually went down in 2018 in the US while China continues to emit at record paces. They also mention Donald Trump tweeting about weather and that it doesn’t represent Climate Change.
Two things on that:
1. He is trolling you. He understands that Climate Change is a Religion to you people and that the slightest bit of questioning it sends you guys into a frenzy.
2. You have to stop using the weather to back up your claims. If Trump can’t mock you by using weather than you can’t use it either. We had forest fires, tornados, hurricanes and many other types of Natural disasters before humans were able to emit CO2 at high levels. When they happen they don’t prove your case.
It is quite sickening that the Democrats choose to weaponize our youth as a way to gain and maintain power.
