Maine Independent Angus King destorys Assault Rifle gun grabbing narrative

In an interview with MSNBC’s Willie Geist Maine Independent Angus King destroyed the left’s Assault Rifle Ban narrative.

King was asked if he thinks we should Ban Assault Rifles:

“No, I think we’ve gotta look at that carefully,” King said. “Here’s the problem: I’m from a state where we have one of the highest gun ownership rates in the country and yet we have one of the lowest rates of crime.”

He then dropped some knowledge on what these guns actually are

“It’s called an assault weapon, but it’s simply a semi-automatic hunting rifle in costume with a different stock,”  “The functionality of the weapon is exactly the same.”

This interview should be watched by everyone. It destorys two of the biggest gun grabbing narratives by the left. No, more guns don’t mean higher crime and no, people aren’t walking around with “military grade” weaponry.
