Forbes:
Another 20 House Republicans have been added to an amicus brief in support of a lawsuit brought by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton aimed at overturning the results of the presidential election, a sign of the enormous political pressure on GOP lawmakers to back President Trump’s long-shot legal efforts.
The initial brief, filed Friday, had 106 names, but several lawmakers such as Reps. Jackie Walorski (R-Ind.), Robert Aderholt (R-Ala.) and Mark Walker (R-N.C.) said their names were left off despite their support for the lawsuit.
The new names include the House’s top two Republicans: Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) and Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.), both of whom have vocally supported the president’s legal efforts.
We will update this as we learn more.
