Well, this is quite shocking.
Last week we reported that Trump sent Cease-and-Desist letters to the RNC, NRCC, and the NRSC telling them to stop fundraising off his name without his permission.
This warning has been completely ignored.
Republicans are shrugging off former President Donald Trump’s cease-and-desist orders not to use his name in fundraising efforts, sending out weekend emails inviting supporters to donate money to defend his legacy.
Last week, it emerged that Trump had sent cease-and-desist letters to the Republican National Committee, the National Republican Congressional Committee, and the National Republican Senatorial Committee warning them not to use his name or likeness to raise money.
A senior GOP official dismissed the cease-and-desist letters.
“Trump’s threats have no teeth,” he said. “What’s he going to do? Sue the RNC?”
Trump should sue for them using his name without permission.
It is simply wrong that since the establishment can’t fundraise by using their establishment candidates they use Trump’s name to raise money.
Why should you care?
If Trump’s name is being used by these committees then they can use him to boost up RINO candidates. Trump’s cease-and-desist letters say nothing about him not backing Republican candidates. All they say is that the RNC, NRCC, and the NRSC need his permission when using his name to fundraise for a candidate. This is big because it shows Trump is planning on backing his own candidates and not the ones chosen by the GOP establishment.
Trump needs to act if they don’t take his Cease-and-Desist letters seriously.
-The GOP Establishment has all but ignored Trump’s Cease-and-Desist letters
-They seem to think Trump won’t respond to this
