James lost his Senate bid to Democrat Debbie Stabenow but he became the first Republican Senate candidate in Michigan to come within 10 percentage points since Spencer Abraham lost reelection in 2000. He will face the other Democrat Senate Candidate Gary Peters in his 2020 race.

Everything about this announcement is great. His idea to donate 5 cents of every dollar to veterans and the poor is great. Not only will John James help Michigan residents once he is in Office but he will be able to do it while campaigning as well.
