According to a new poll, Donald Trump is more popular than Ronald Reagan among Republican Voters.
Despite the disgust many in the GOP Washington establishment have for former President Donald Trump, Republicans continue to adore the former president, far more than the party’s modern-day hero, former President Ronald Reagan.
By 2-to-1, in fact, Republicans have chosen Trump over Reagan as the best president ever, a huge flip in just three years.
In the latest Economist/YouGov survey, 36% of Republicans called Trump the best. Just 18% called Reagan that, followed by 13% for President Abraham Lincoln and 11% for President George Washington.
In 2018, Republicans chose Reagan over Trump 36% to 10%.
Reagan is obviously great.
So is Trump.
What this poll shows us is that this is Trump’s party.
