Donald Trump announced that he has ordered the FBI to probe the allegations against Brett Kavanaugh.

“I’ve ordered the FBI to conduct a supplemental investigation to update Judge Kavanaugh’s file. As the Senate has requested, this update must be limited in scope and completed in less than one week.”— Sarah Sanders (@PressSec) September 28, 2018
Trump also took to Twitter and pointed out this would be Brett Kavanaugh’s 7th time being investigated by the FBI. As we reported Kavanaugh has received six background checks since he has worked in Washington.

This will make Senator Jeff Flake happy, an anti-Trump Republican happy but likely not the Democrats or Christine Ford. Ford’s lawyer called for an FBI investigation but said they don’t want any limiting of the scope of the investigation or a time frame on it/
