Tlaib RTs tweet saying F*ck a national day of prayer

Rashida Tlaib retweeted a tweet from David Hogg that attacked President Trump for having a National Day of Prayer.

The Washington Examiner:

Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib retweeted a post from Parkland, Florida, shooting survivor David Hogg that read “F— a National day of prayer” following news that the president recommended prayer to help calm the public’s coronavirus fears.

“Don’t let this administration address COVID-19 like our national gun violence epidemic,” Hogg posted on Twitter along with a video of Department of Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson speaking about prayer. “F— a National day of prayer, we need immediate comprehensive action.”

Tlaib retweeted the message, which was liked and retweeted thousands of times, to her more than a million followers and responded to the apparent backlash with an explanation that she was not specifically attacking prayer.

She tried to walk the retweet back:

Don’t let her kid you. Tlaib is fully against religous freedom in this country. She will defend Muslims to the day she dies but will never defend Christians. She attacks American values on a daily basis and has a history of anti-semitism.

Can she name a single legislative piece she supports which upholds the rights of Christians to openly worship in the US? Will she defend a baker not baking a cake for a gay wedding?

This idea that people pray and won’t take any action is nonsense. We pray and then we take action. That is how it goes. No one buys this excuse because it is as fradulent as her.
