Things are beginning to heat up.
Trump Adviser Jason Miller warned GOP Establishment committees not to attack Trump-endorsed candidates or there is “going to be big problems”.
Jason Miller said he understands that the GOP committees are obligated to support incumbents, but if the party starts attacking candidates that Trump has endorsed, his cooperation with the committees will end and “there’s going to be big problems.”
Trump’s moves leave the GOP committees and Republicans who are wary of his attempts to dominate the party and its direction in a tough position, Heye said.
“They can only be so aggressive, they don’t want to get in a civil war with Trump,” he added. “They hate this, but they can’t escalate things.”
This is where the real battle is happening.
The GOP Establishment wants to use Trump’s name to prop up RINOs in the Republican party.
This is why Trump sent them Cease-And-Desist letters:
and told them he doesn’t support the RINOs or fools in the Republican party:
They seemingly tried to bend the knee to Trump in a statement but this is likely just to try and get him to back down:
This is an important game.
The establishment knows that without Trump all of their candidates will fail. They are trying to use him to keep control of the party. Luckily, to this point, they have failed.
We will have to wait and see what happens the first time a Trump-backed candidate challenges an incumbent.
Will the GOP establishment stick with Trump or stand with the RINOs?
This is yet to be seen.
-Trump is backing his own candidates and if the GOP establishment backs the RINO being challenged there will be a battle between Trump and them
