San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin was recalled on Tuesday night.
He was a Soros-backed DA although he did not take money directly from Soros.

He lashed out blaming everyone but himself for the loss.
Ousted San Francisco DA Chesa Boudin remained defiant after citizens voted overwhelmingly to recall the progressive politician Tuesday, blaming billionaire Republicans and even the city’s police force for the loss.
‘The right-wing billionaires outspent us three to one,’ Boudin said in a speech to supporters following news of the recall results, which saw more than 60 percent of San Franciscans fed-up with the city’s crime-ridden state vote to recall him.

The recall campaign against Boudin, which was funded mainly by local business groups, accused the attorney of not doing enough to keep citizens safe, and introducing policies that allowed repeat offenders to commit crimes without fear of incarceration.
The crime wave has seen a rise in a particular type of robbery dubbed ‘smash-and-grabs’, where thieves brazenly raid a store’s shelves often in broad daylight, often avoiding charges thanks to Boudin’s lax policies.
Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascon is facing similar issues.
Gascón has been dealing with similar problems as Boudin.

Gascón’s office refused to prosecute the defendant now known as Hannah Tubbs as an adult because of a pledge to not try those who committed crimes as minors in adult courts. For better or worse, the fallout from that decision was soon rendered somewhat moot by murder charges brought against Tubbs in a 2019 case, a crime committed when Tubbs was decidedly an adult.
According to the conservative website California Globe, Gascón received $2.5 million from Soros during his 2020 campaign. The conservative think-tank the Heritage Foundation noted numerous members of Gascón’s transition and advisory teams also had ties to the billionaire financier’s organizations.
