The Republican National Committee outraised the Democrat National Committee in April.
The RNC raised $14.2 million while the DNC raised $12.9 million.
The DNC still holds the advantage with cash on hand.
The Republican National Committee bested it’s political rival in fundraising last month, bringing in $1.3 million more than the Democratic National Committee in April.
The RNC reported a $14.2 million haul for the month, besting the $12.9 million brought in by the DNC and the Democratic Grassroots Victory Fund, the committee’s joint fundraising arm. The latest numbers, revealed Saturday, bring the RNC’s total for funds raised this election cycle to $219.9 million. The DNC, meanwhile, has raised $213 million thus far this cycle.
Despite Republicans’ slight edge in fundraising numbers, the DNC has a considerable advantage when it comes to cash on hand. While the RNC has $43.7 million available to it, the DNC has $65.6 million.
