French Presidential Candidate Emmanuel Macron was targeted in a massive computer hack. This hack dumped a massive amount of campaign emails online just days before the election.
Excerpt from Reuters:Â
Macron, who is seen as the frontrunner in an election billed as the most important in France in decades, extended his lead over Le Pen in polls on Friday.
As much as 9 gigabytes of data were posted on a profile called EMLEAKS to Pastebin, a site that allows anonymous document sharing. It was not immediately clear who was responsible for posting the data or if any of it was genuine.
Macron’s political movement verified these claims:
“The En Marche! Movement has been the victim of a massive and co-ordinated hack this evening which has given rise to the diffusion on social media of various internal information,”
Now Russia is suspect number one due to the similarities we saw in their hacking of the DNC last October. Both LePen and Trump campaigned on Nationalistic policies and both were seen as having better relations with Russia than their political opponents.
In an effort to minimize the damage that these leaks could cause France’s Electoral commission has threatened the media not to cover these leaks.
Excerpt from the Independent:
It warned news outlets in France that journalists could face criminal charges for publishing or republishing the material, under laws that came into effect at midnight forbidding any commentary liable to affect the presidential race.
There were fears the hack could swing Sunday’s final vote, where Mr Macron was expected to comfortably beat far-right candidate Marine Le Pen.
Now French election rules bar the media from covering this. The election rules also bars Macron and his team from denying these allegations.
These rules have not stopped a spokesperson from attacking the leaks.
A spokesperson said the communications only showed the normal functioning of a presidential campaign, but that authentic documents had been mixed on social media with fake ones to sow “doubt and misinformationâ€.
“This operation is obviously an attempt at destabilising democracy, as has already been seen in the US during the last presidential campaign,†he added.
“The ambition of the authors of this leak is obviously to harm the En Marche! movement within hours of the second round of the French presidential election.â€
The French deep state is using its power to cover up for the man they want to see in power. These leaks expose Macrons past of Tax evasion and his plans to allow further Islamic takeover in France.
The French people need to wakeup and cast a vote for La Pen or France will dive further into a state of instability.
