A new Rassmussen Poll found that Americans are lukewarm over President Trump’s interest in buying Greenland.
Rassmussen:
If President Trump wants to buy Greenland, most strong Trump supporters are all for it, but like other voters, they’re wary of adding more states to the union.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 30% of all Likely U.S. Voters think the United States should buy Greenland for its natural resources and strategic geopolitical location. Forty-one percent (41%) oppose such a purchase, but a notable 29% are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
However, only 19% of strong Trump supporters oppose it:

This Poll is not bad news for the President. Not only is his base behind him but he has significant room to gain support among the rest of the country.
Trump does need to make a better case for it, however. The messaging from the White House needs to focus on the resources and strategic geopolitical location of it. This is a major win for American and Trump needs to make that case.
