Joe Biden is trailing both his predecessors in approval rating at the same point.

The low approval is another ominous sign for Democrats.

Late December Presidential Approval and Midterms (per Rasmussen Reports):

Obama Approval on Dec 31, 2009: 46%
2010 Midterms: Republicans win 63 seats

Trump Approval on Dec 29, 2017: 45%
2018 Midterms: Democrats win 41 seats

Biden Approval on Dec 31 2021: 42%
2022 Midterms: ???
