Joe Biden signed an executive order banning the term “China Virus” from federal policies, directives, and government websites.
The Biden executive order is also expected to direct federal agencies like the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to examine whether there are xenophobic references like “China virus” in any existing policies, directives or government websites published by the Trump administration.
A CBS News review of COVID-19-related executive orders issued by the Trump administration did not find any specific reference to “China virus,” the term the former president often used to blame the Chinese government for the pandemic. But if the term is found in existing policies, the forthcoming executive action is expected to order its removal.
This was part of a larger Executive Order targeting discrimination against Asian Americans.
Now, this is obviously widely symbolic. Even CBS admits that to this point they have found nothing from the Trump Administration that has used this term.
Let me explain why this does matter in some ways.
Saying “China Virus” never had anything to do with being a bigot.
It didn’t mean all Chinese people should be blamed.
In fact, we were all strongly against that.
The reason you say “China Virus” is to point a finger at who is responsible. The Chinese Communist Party.
By calling it the “China Virus” or “CCP Virus” we are holding one of the most corrupt governments in the world accountable.
Had China not covered up what happened this virus would’ve never hit the rest of the world.
This is just another example of Biden covering up for the CCP.
