This is one of the main reasons Bernie Sanders has no ability to grab support from anyone but the far-left. Everyday Americans don’t view this country as racist. Everyday Americans don’t think that every issue in society is impacted by racism. They don’t think this country is a symbol of racism. Rather they view this country as a source for good in the world. They view this country as the greatest country in the world.
Many people try to act like Bernie has the ability to reach across the aisle. They look at Sander’s supporters voting for Trump and think that this means Sanders could do the same. However, they miss the social aspect that got Trump elected. One of the main reasons Trump got elected was because he represented a country that Americans are longing for. A country that was founded on Christain values. A country that believed in freedom.
