According to a law enforcement source, there have been 22 homicides in Portland since 1 June. In all of 2019, there were only 36 homicides. Last month, @tedwheeler dismantled the Gun Violence Reduction Team because he and others said it was unfair to blacks.

We will have to wait for the data to come out to see if the numbers are higher or lower but my guess is that 22 is close to the actual number.
Either way, Law Enforcement would know if they saw a rise in homicides. The fact that in just two months they had nearly the same amount of homicides as they did in all of 2019 shows that anti-police policies and anti-police rhetoric we are seeing in this country are damaging to the safety of those who live in our country.
