The witch-hunts against President Trump never stop.Â
The DOJ announced that Trump’s tax returns must be handed over to Congress.
This was back on July 30th.
The income tax returns of former President Donald Trump must be released by the IRS to Congress, the Department of Justice said Friday.
The DOJ’s Office of Legal Counsel said the Democratic-led House Ways and Means Committee had made a request with a legitimate legislative purpose to see Trump’s tax returns, with a stated objective of assessing how the IRS audits presidents’ tax returns.
That 39-page opinion is a reversal of an opinion by the same office, during the Trump administration, which had backed the IRS’ refusal to give the committee Trump’s returns.

A Trump-appointed judge is set to rule on it.
The ruling won’t come down until November.
The arguments will take place on November 8, meaning McFadden won’t make any major decisions in the case before then. The administration handing over the tax returns would be in line with the latest Justice Department policy.
The case will be decided by Judge Trevor McFadden, who was appointed to the United States District Court for the District of Columbia by Trump in 2017, and confirmed by a vote of 84-10, with six senators not voting. Vice President Kamala Harris, then a U.S. senator from California, voted against McFadden’s confirmation.
