Looks like Mitch McConnell just caved again.
He announced he will not shut down the government over Biden’s vaccine mandate.
Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell said on Thursday Republicans would not block a stop-gap government funding bill, adding that shutting down the government over opposition to COVID-19 vaccine mandates makes no sense.

Democratic and Republican leaders in the U.S. Congress agreed on a proposal to fund federal agencies through mid-February, clearing the way for a House of Representatives vote on Thursday that would be a critical step in averting a partial government shutdown.
If the House passes the measure, the Senate would then need to vote on the bill funding the government through Feb. 18 and send it to Democratic President Joe Biden sign into law ahead of the midnight Friday deadline for a partial shutdown to begin.“This is a good compromise that allows an appropriate amount of time for both parties in both chambers to finish negotiations on appropriations,” Democratic Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said.
A group of hard-line Senate Republican conservatives are threatening to delay consideration in protest against Biden’s COVID-19 vaccination mandates, raising the possibility that the government could partially shut down over the weekend while the Senate moves slowly toward eventual passage.
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, who must quell the rebellion within his caucus to keep the government operating, reiterated on Thursday that there would be no shutdown. But he did not respond when asked whether Republicans would agree to move quickly by consenting to circumvent the Senate’s cumbersome legislative rules.
“We need to pass it and that’s what we’ll be working toward doing,” the top Senate Republican told reporters.
Of course, McConnell previously claimed he wouldn’t help them last time.
.@toddstarnes Losers are Republicans.@RMConservative electing more of them in 2022 just means more losers with Rs next to their name giving Biden some of the things he wants.
Dems obstructed Trump; they had wins in 2018/2020, and they plow ahead as if they are kings.

Flashback to less than 2 months ago after GOP helped lift the debt ceiling by $450 billion.@LeaderMcConnell warned Biden that the GOP will not go along with the next chaos budgetary vote.
Well, the chaos is here and McConnell IS going along with it (without getting anything). pic.twitter.com/EPADJptUWi

Stephen Miller added more:
Just read text of the gov funding deal (CR). It’s *worse* than feared. Not only does it fund unconditional benefits for unvetted Afghans already here (no req, for example, you not be a human rights abuser) but it funds NEW resettlement with ZERO strings or conditions attached.1/3

Context: we are suffering through worst migration crisis in history. Instead of clean CR, it’s riddled with riders. Do those riders limit migration? NO. They expand it to include extremist hotbeds. GOP should oppose and dare Kelly, Hassan etc. to vote for unchecked migration. 3/3

No wonder no one likes McConnell!
This is why @LeaderMcConnell has the worst favorability rating out of all congressional leaders.
63% unfavorable w/ only 6.5% of GOP voters having a "very favorable" view of him, just 3.5% of NPA IND/3rd Party voters.
Democratic voters like @SenSchumer.https://t.co/o07Vzk4Aeq https://t.co/po7s0jpo3n
