An old tweet from Dem Rep Eric Swalwell has resurfaced as the debate about red flag laws rages on.
Back in 2019, Eric Swalwell hinted that popular conservative commentator Ben Shapiro should have any firearm he owns taken away because of a segment on his show. Swalwell cited this as a reason for red flag laws.
Shapiro responded recently to the tweet:
I am not in principle opposed to red flag laws. But when sitting congresspeople who screw Chinese spies suggest your right to self-defense should be removed because you oppose his political agenda, that undermines the trust necessary to support such laws. pic.twitter.com/k0sOHTzGRn
