Facebook Goes Offline–Zuckerberg’s Net Worth Drops $7 Billion

Big Tech is having a rough day.

Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp all went offline today.

Data on 1.5 billion Facebook users have been compromised and are being sold online on a popular hacking-related forum.

From The Washington Examiner:

Facebook and the network of social media companies it owns, including Instagram, WhatsApp, and Oculus VR, suddenly went offline Monday.

The reason for the shutdown was not clear, but online tools that track Facebook suggest that it’s a problem with its Domain Name System, or the servers that help create a website’s IP addresses.

Employees couldn’t enter the buildings to evaluate the Internet outage because their door access badges were not working.
