Michael Gableman, the former State Supreme Court justice hired to investigate the 2020 election in Wisconsin has issued a demand to the Wisconsin elections commission.
Gableman has requested that “any and all” documents pertaining to the 2020 election be preserved.
The former state Supreme Court justice hired to investigate the 2020 election in Wisconsin asked the state’s elections commission to make sure “any and all” records related to the contest are preserved as he conducts the investigation.
Special counsel Michael Gableman wrote to the commission Thursday requesting the “retention of records and preservation of evidence” and asking state officials to notify local clerks of the need to preserve metadata, router information, access logs, and other materials during the inquiry.
Gableman also asked officials to forward any information about the destruction of records since Nov. 3 that may result in the obstruction of his investigation.
Republican Assembly Speaker Robin Vos hired Gableman in June to investigate “voting irregularities” during the 2020 election on behalf of the chamber.
