Did The Mainstream Media Wait Until After The Election To Report On Hunter Biden Corruption?

CNN is now reporting that Hunter Biden is under federal investigation.

They claim it has to do with his business dealings overseas as well as whether he broke tax/money laundering laws.

CNN: 

After pausing in the months before the election, federal authorities are now actively investigating the business dealings of Hunter Biden, a person with knowledge of the probe said. His father, President-elect Joe Biden, is not implicated.

Now that the election is over, the investigation is entering a new phase. Federal prosecutors in Delaware, working with the
IRS Criminal Investigation agency and the FBI, are taking overt steps such as issuing subpoenas and seeking interviews, the person with knowledge said.
Activity in the investigation had been largely dormant in recent months due to Justice Department guidelines prohibiting overt actions that could affect an election, the person said.
CNN contacted Biden’s attorney and the campaign this week seeking comment about the investigation. On Wednesday, they released a statement acknowledging the probe.
“I learned yesterday for the first time that the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Delaware advised my legal counsel, also yesterday, that they are investigating my tax affairs. I take this matter very seriously but I am confident that a professional and objective review of these matters will demonstrate that I handled my affairs legally and appropriately, including with the benefit of professional tax advisors,” Hunter Biden said in a statement.
Investigators have been examining multiple financial issues, including whether Hunter Biden and his associates violated tax and money laundering laws in business dealings in foreign countries, principally China, according to two people briefed on the probe.
Shocking right? This sounds eerily similar to what right-wing media and President Trump have been saying for months.
Yet before the election, the Mainstream Media claimed that anyone pushing this info was pushing “Russian Disinfo”.  They even went as far as to claim that these claims were debunked.

So, this probe was known about in October. That means that while the Mainstream Media was claiming that all these allegations were fraudulent there had been an active investigation into Hunter Biden.

Now, of course, at this point, we can’t confirm the Mainstream Media knew about this at the time. But that really doesn’t matter. This is just another example of why the Mainstream Press should not be trusted. They claim to be the defenders of truth and the fourth estate. Yet they missed what would have been one of the biggest news stories of the election cycle.

Whether they hid it or didn’t have it is nothing more than semantics. A press that didn’t uncover this story is not one the American people can rely on.

Remember, when it mattered the most the Mainstream Press was bullying you for pushing a story that was completely true.
