The anti-Biden rap song “Let’s Go Brandon” is the second best-selling single on iTunes’s charts.

The song, performed by rapper Loza Alexander, sits just behind Adele’s “Easy On Me” and is the number-one song on iTunes’s hip-hop charts. The title of the track, which went viral on TikTok, is a reference to a televised interview earlier this month between NASCAR driver Brandon Brown and NBC Sports reporter Kelli Stavast. During the interview, NASCAR fans can be heard chanting, “F— Joe Biden.” Stavast, in an apparent attempt at damage control, said the fans were cheering, “Let’s go Brandon!”

The phrase is now a popular stand-in for the “f— Joe Biden” chants that in recent weeks have erupted in sports venues across the country. In one notable example, New York Jets fans chanted the anti-Biden slogan during their team’s Oct. 3 matchup against the Tennessee Titans. The Jets would go on to secure their only win thus far this season.

In the song, Alexander references the viral interview clip, saying, “Tried to cover up, but tell the people, ‘Go Brandon.’ But we know what they saying, though. You can hear thе chant in every post.” The artist also takes aim at the president, rapping, “Don’t nobody want this commie ‘causе we not in China.”

The song’s surge on the iTunes charts has coincided with Biden’s recent drop in approval rating. Just 44 percent of Americans approve of the president’s job performance, according to the RealClearPolitics polling average, down from 51 percent in August.
