Nate Silver Editor and Cheif of Five-Thirty-Eight took to Twitter to destroy the mainstream media’s Russia reporting:
My unpopular(?) opinion: Stories alleging Trump-Russia collusion have in fact relied too much on anonymous or otherwise thin sourcing.

Nate Silver is 100 percent right with this tweet. As we have pointed out on many occasions the use of anonymous sourcing has led to many of their stories being wrong. Anonymous sourcing is a necessity for journalists. If you are trying to expose corruption you are likely going to need anonymous sourcing to protect the source of the information. With that being said it is also an enormous risk. That risk comes in the fact that you might be being used for poltical gain. They can leak infromation without having to attach there name to it. This allows for them to create a false narrative without them actually having to attach there name to it.
