Kees van der Pijl, a retired International Relations proffessor from the University of Sussex, U.K, tweeted:

The professor linked to an article from Wikispooks, a website that has been firmly debunked as an anti-Semitic conspiracy theory website. He is now being taken to task by the Sussex Jewish Representative Council (SJRC):
We are concerned by the conspiracy theories that have been tweeted by @SussexUni Emeritas Professor @KeesvdPijl1. We ask that @SussexUni investigate immediately & consider removing his ‘emeritas’ status. This type of hatemongering has no place in society, least of all in academia pic.twitter.com/W8dko0qzLm

Rather than backpedaling his comments in response to the backlash from the Sussex Jewish Representative Council, Kees van der Pijl replied on twitter:
