During yesterday’s Jan 6th hearing Liz Cheney claimed that President Donald Trump said Pence deserved to be hung on January 6th.
She said that testimony will reveal this.
Former President Donald Trump said his vice president, Mike Pence, “deserves†to be hanged during the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol, Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) said at the first House select committee hearing on the attack.

Cheney went on to say that testimony will reveal Trump’s reaction to chants of “hang Mike Pence†from his supporters at the Capitol.
Aware of the rioters chants to ‘hang Mike Pence’, the president responded with this sentiment: ‘Maybe our supporters have the right idea’. Mike Pence ‘deserves it.’
Trump responded calling the story “Fake News!”
I NEVER said, or even thought of saying, “Hang Mike Pence.†This is either a made up story by somebody looking to become a star, or FAKE NEWS!
Few things here.
There is no defending the hang Mike Pence chants that took place. It is fine to criticize Pence for his role on January 6th but threatening violence or calling for violence against him or anyone that day is simply unacceptable. Peace is how America will be saved – not violence.
Now that we have made that clear let’s look into the claims that were made.
It is simply disgusting that the media is running this claim by Cheney as if it is fact.
We do not know anything about where this claim is coming from.
Questions that need to be answered:
Who made this claim?
What evidence supports this claim?Â
Why does Liz Cheney trust this account?
The media won’t ask these questions but we will. How many hoaxes do we need to see before the media stops parroting political propaganda?
This smells like a hit job and it will be interesting to see what evidence if any Liz Cheney has to back up this bold claim.
