President Trump took to Twitter claiming that he asked John Bolton for his resignation last night.
….I asked John for his resignation, which was given to me this morning. I thank John very much for his service. I will be naming a new National Security Advisor next week.

Bolton claims he wasn’t fired:

This decision will not sit well with the Neo-Cons in the party.

Look I didn’t have much of an issue with Bolton. I thought he said a lot of good things in public and seemed to support President Trump’s domestic agenda. With that being said I trust President Trump and his decisions. He clearly thought Bolton was not pushing his administration in the right direction.
The part I am worried about is what comes next between these two. Both Trump and Bolton’s tweets show that this was not an amicable breakup.
