Trump Announces Christopher Wray as Nominee for FBI Director

    President Donald Trump announced Wednesday he will nominate Christopher A. Wray to be the next FBI Director.

    The announcement comes a little less than a month after Trump fired James Comey, who will testify Thursday before the Senate Intelligence Committee.

    Trump tweeted the decision out Wednesday morning and called Wray “a man of impeccable credentials.” The president had considered a wide range of people over the past month for the post, including former Sen. Joe Lieberman (I.. Conn.) and Rep. Trey Gowdy (R., S.C.).
