The media is to blame for America’s declining relationship with Russia

News broke today that Russia would be being sent home from Russia.

Excerpt from Independent:

Russia has retaliated against new US sanctions by ordering 755 American diplomats to leave – a move than will create a fresh crisis in the relationship between the two countries.

Days after the both houses of the US Congress voted almost unanimously to impose fresh sanctions on Moscow, Vladimir Putin said he was responding to “unlawful” behaviour by Washington.

“The American side has made a move which, it is important to note, hasn’t been provoked by anything, to worsen Russian-US relations. [It includes] unlawful restrictions, attempts to influence other states of the world, including our allies, who are interested in developing and keeping relations with Russia,” Mr Putin told the Rossiya 1 TV channel.

“We’ve been waiting for quite a long time that maybe something would change for the better, we had hopes that the situation would change. But it looks like, it’s not going to change in the near future… I decided that it is time for us to show that we will not leave anything unanswered.”

The US sanctions bill also included measures against Iran and North Korea and was passed over Russia’s 2014 annexation of Crimea and its alleged interference in the 2016 US election.

This news is certainly not something Donald Trump will be celebrating. Throughout his campaign, he talked about wanting to fix relations with Russia. The newly imposed sanctions clearly are not helping with that portion of his agenda.

Now, Trump could have vetoed this bill but decided not too.

Here’s why:

The move by politicians on Capitol Hill has pushed Donald Trump into a corner. The White House had made clear it was against the measure, but the President has said he will sign the bill, rather than use his veto power and risk fresh accusations that he is soft on Moscow.

This new development showcases a very dangerous trend in America. The media has allowed it’s hatred for Trump and it’s obsession with Russia-Trump collusion to create a veil of anti-Russian sentiment in America. This has made it impossible for Trump to do his job correctly when dealing with Russia. If he seems to be siding with Russia on anything he is called a Russian agent. It doesn’t matter to the Mainstream media that Hillary sold 1/5 of our uranium to Russia. It doesn’t matter to the Mainstream media that Bill Clinton got paid $500,000 dollars by the Russians to give a speech in Russia while is wife lobbied to relieve sanctions in America. All that matters to the media is proving Trump is some sort of Russian agent.

Now, don’t take this as me standing up for Russia. I wouldn’t want Putin running my country but I also realize that it is important to have good relations with Russia. They are a huge military super power that we are better suited having good relations with. Since Trump has taken office everything he does with Russia has to be closely planned. In his first meeting as President with the Russians, a ton of leaks came out from the meeting. The two big stories were Trump’s Comey “Nut Job” comment and him sharing classified information with them. Both of these were huge nothing burgers. That didn’t stop the media from portraying it as the end of the world. The Comey nut job comment was used as a way to showcase Trump firing Comey over Russia. Trump admitted he fired Comey over Russia. It was simple, Comey was dragging out the investigation and refused to clear Trump’s name so he fired him. Trump’s first meeting with Putin followed this same idea. Trump met with a ton of world leaders that day. One happened to be Putin. At the end of the meeting, Trump had another shorter meeting with Putin. The media quickly pushed hysteria acting as if it was some kind of nefarious act. Trump is the President of The United States, he can talk to any world leader he wants at any time. Him wanting to meet with Putin briefly after the dinner doesn’t mean he is by any means Putin’s puppet.

So as you can see the media has made it impossible for Trump to fix relations with Russia. The media has already made up their minds about Russia. They have already claimed that Russia tried to overthrow our democracy while disregarding the questions that still need to be answered. Who really hacked the DNC? How deep did Ukraine tr to influence our election? Who was behind the Fake Trump Dossier? Russia tried to influence our election but so did every other major superpower worldwide. If you dig deep enough you’ll find every other major world power trying to influence our election. Should we start imposing sanctions on those countries as well? The bottom line is that up to this point we have more questions than answers. This should make everyone in the media pause before attacking the Russians. Sadly, due to hatred for Trump they will stop at nothing to create an enemy that isn’t there even if it means war.
