Republican Gov. Kristi Noem of South Dakota is spending Friday evening at Mar-a-Lago, greeting donors and political allies during a fundraiser on her behalf at former President Trump’s Palm Beach, Florida resort.
The event, which is being hosted by Donald Trump Jr. and his girlfriend and Trump adviser Kimberly Guilfoyle, is officially for Noem’s 2022 gubernatorial re-election campaign.
But the event could also pay dividends down the road. Noem, who’s a major supporter of the former president, is believed to have national aspirations and pundits consider her a potential 2024 GOP White House hopeful if the former president decides against running.
Republican sources have also confirmed to Fox News that longtime Trump political adviser and aide Corey Lewandowski will host another fundraiser for Noem on Saturday evening on Florida’s southwest coast.
This is a big deal.
Last week we reported that Trump was considering replacing Mike Pence as his running mate if Trump does run in 2024:

Why does this matter?
No-one knows why Trump will end up bringing onto his ticket if he runs in 2024. From what I have seen everyone from Pence to DeSantis is still on the table. The selection is going to come down to who is going to add the most votes to the ticket.
Now, if Trump didn’t decide to run this might end up having even bigger ramifications. If Trump doesn’t run his endorsement will likely decide who wins the Primary. So, if she was able to snag a Trump endorsement she would be on her way to being the Republican Presidential candidate in 2024.
A lot can and will happen between now and 2024 so anyone besides Trump’s closest advisers telling you they know what is going on is lying.
