Many in the mainstream media are attempting to put blame on President Trump for the actions of General Flynn. I talked about Flynn months ago because I thought his plan to deal with ISIS was spectacular. What nobody knew was his ties to Russia and Turkey. We also know Flynn asked for immunity late last month.
The issue with the narrative being pushed by the MSM is that none of this is Trump’s fault. Spicer points this out during his press conference today.
“Gen. Flynn was a career military officer who maintained a high level security clearance throughout his career in the military,†he said. “His clearance was last re-issued by the Obama administration in 2016 with full knowledge of his activities that occurred in 2015.â€
“I’m just making sure people understand process and how it works. You fill out a form, there’s an inviesgtaion, you are re-investigated every 5 years…â€
So as you can see it was the Obama administration who gave Flynn the security clearance. President Trump trusted that the Obama administration did their job properly in vetting General Flynn.
