NFL comes out in support of Trump’s prison reform bill

The NFL came out in support of Donald Trump’s FIRST STEP ACT in a statement.

Mediaite:

“The National Football League applauds the leadership of the President and bipartisan Members of Congress on criminal justice reform,” NFL VP of Communications Jocelyn Moore wrote in the statement. “We offer our full support for the revised First Step Act and urge passage this year.”

This is certainly a strong supporter for Trump to have. The NFL  and Trump have been at war due to the kneeling issue and the fact the NFL praised one of his policies will help its passage.

This should also be a warning sign for Conservatives though. If groups that don’t normally champion Conservative policies are championing a policy of Trump it is likely that the policy isn’t all that Conservative. Let’s hope as the bill gets more pieces added that it will become a good deal for the American people.
