Mike Dubke to be named Communications Director

Late last night CNN broke the story that Mike Dubke, founder of Crossroads Media will be named Communications Director of The White House. I had never really heard much of Dubke previous to this announcement so I did some research on him. My research has shown me mostly promising things up to this point. Dubke is a veteran in the realm of political policy and public policy development. These are two elements that the Trump administration has struggled with in his short time in office. They have struggled for a few reasons but one being Trumps limited time in a position such as this. Having someone to be there and help Trump learn the ropes in these departments is essential. This appointment has been met with some contention from Trump loyalists in The White House, though. CNN reported one loyalist as saying “Dubke and his Crossroads friends did everything they could to kill the Trump movement and failed”. Although I have warned about Trump needing to be careful of people even within his own party looking to undermine him this appointment seems to check out in all categories. Trump is bringing in someone who at least on paper will fix the biggest issue we have seen with Trumps administration. This appointment will also help out with the massive workload Press Secretary Sean Spicer has been taking on by himself. Spicer has been doing a job normally filled by two people which has affected his ability to do both. It is too early for me to claim whether this move is good or bad for Trumps administration but so far it seems like an A+ appointment.
