Joy-Ann Reid wrote multiple anti-gay blog posts

One of the biggest virtue signalers in media, Joy-Ann Reid has some explaining to do. According to Mediate Joy-Ann Reid wrote Anti-gay posts on her former blog.

Mediate:

Recently resurfaced internet archives show political commentator Joy Reid wrote a dozen blog posts in 2007, 2008, and 2009 that contained homophobic conspiracies and anti-gay jokes.

The MSNBC weekend host ran a blog called The Reid Report — which is the same name as her now-defunct cable news show — a decade ago while she wrote for the Miami Herald. As first resurfaced by Twitter user Jamie_Maz and reported by Paste Magazine, Reid wrote numerous bigoted blog posts smearing, mocking, and attacking former Florida governor Charlie Crist. These rants included calling Crist “Miss Charlie” and sarcastically using the tags “gay politicians” and “not gay politicians” — despite the fact that the twice-married, heterosexual man has never come out as gay.

Reid went on to spread the conspiracy theory that Crist was actually a closeted gay man who refused to come out for fear that his sexual orientation would hurt his political career. Additionally, the AM Joy host claims Crist’s marriages to women are part of this elaborate cover up.

As bad as the conspiracy theory is in itself, Reid doesn’t just suggest Crist is gay — she assumes he is gay and proceeds to seemingly deride him for it. “Miss Charlie, Miss Charlie. Stop pretending, brother. It’s okay that you don’t go for the ladies,” wrote Reid in a 2007 post.

This wasn’t her only post.

In another, Reid wrote, “Now that he’s married to a girl, Charlie Crist is being sought out for all KINDS of good stuff… [The GOP] are wooing Miss Charlie to run.”

One of the more disturbing examples of Reid’s alleged bigotry is her theory that Crist spent his honeymoon checking-out men and dreading physical relations with his wife. “I can just see poor Charlie on the honeymoon, ogling the male waiters and thinking to himself, ‘god, do I actually have to see her naked…?’” Reid wrote.

The same blog post included a joke about Crist having sex with Senator John McCain of Arizona — who she claims is the reason the former Florida governor got married to another woman in the first place, as it would somehow help him become McCain’s 2008 running mate.

These attacks on Crist led Reid to share her opinions on why gay men stay in the closet, writing, “When a gay politician gets married, it usually indicates that he is highly ambitious, and desires to put himself in a position to move up the power ladder.”

These homophobic remarks and anti-gay jokes were spread throughout 12 of Reid’s blog posts — in which she uses the term “Miss Charlie” a total of 17 times — and were all written when the pundit was in her late 30s or early 40 years, lest anyone chalk this up to youth.

The Reid Report blog no longer exists, but its articles can be accessed using the internet archiving service the Wayback Machine.

While Reid received backlash from many of her critics for these posts, she may have gained some new fans as the alt-right 4Chan forum /Pol/ heaped praise on her. “Joy Reid is one of us,” wrote an internet poster on the hateful message board.

Ironically, Reid is infamous for slamming anyone who dares to criticize her political views by calling them a bigot, as she frequently refers to Bernie Sanders supporters and other leftists as sexists or racists. Though, this latest example of apparent hypocrisy shouldn’t surprise anyone as she has a history of doing exactly what she attacks others for doing.

A few things in this report are striking. The first is that she was praised by the Alt-Right. As many of you may know the Alt-right is a section of what the media claims are Conservatives that are led by Richard Spencer.  They are self-proclaimed white supremacists(although some who are alt-right aren’t) and Joy-Ann uses them to attack Trump and all of his supporters. Does she know that they actually have supported her? Can we now use the Alt-Right against her? I, of course, am joking but it showcases the hypocrisy that she displays. The next thing is, of course, she joked about this. She is someone who is constantly preaching tolerance. Constantly trying to claim everyone is racist or sexist. Yet what she displays is a complete disregard for other peoples views.  She only wants toleration for her beliefs but practices the exact opposite thing. Joy-Ann Reid is beyond on fraud and it is sad that somehow as bad as her has garnered such a huge following.
